Interview (MediasRes) of: Spike

Handle:
Spike (aka Injury/KULT)

How did you come up with your alias ?

Brainstorming

City / Country:
Sweden

Born year:
1973

What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
C64, 1988, but a friend of mine bought one when it came out, and we started to program 'would be' games using Simons BASIC (Cartridge version) the I lost interest for a few years, but started again 1988

How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
I called some lame swapper (Yankee/Defiers) and was invited to a copy party, where I met K&M (Kaktus & Mahoneys), and I allso called Aze/The Vikings (Agile) and he learned me how to code MC... I have been a member of FLT, TSL (The Silents) and I was one of the two founding members of KULT (KLT)

What was the proudest moment in your career ?

On C64 it was when i ripped my first tune (some JCH/Jewels tune i think.)

On Amiga it was when Johannes Bjaerregaard called me up and asked me some questions about coding music-routines on the Amiga

For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
Converting the Druid II (FLT intro) tune to Amiga. Making a lot of stupid phone calls, and being an asshole at a Party in Randers...

What would you like to be remembered for ?

The druid II tune conversion ...

What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
I didn't make any money programming, and I got a job as an operator... then I got into music, I think I quit around 1992/93.

Thinking back on the good old days, is there anything you regret?
Not finishing any projects... coz in the begining there was lots of easy money to be made.
