Slave of the scene - by Gone/Scarab
Publication: Unknown

Every day and every night,
every single hour,
every single minute this urge comes upon me.

This urge that I have, I must reply to,
whether it’s thinking or reacting on it.

Electronic pulses in my head constantly force me to think about it,
whenever there is a blank spot in my head it gets filled with the
scene.

Thinking about the scene,
working for the scene,
writing for the scene.

Thinking of new articles, constantly, 24 hours a day,
thinking of the new production that is about to be released
which includes my articles.

Crazy this urge,
why do I have to think of the scene all the time,
wherever I go, the scene is with me,
whatever I do, the scene is in me.

At work I write my articles for the scene,
Yes!, I am probably the only scener whom gets get paid for writing
articles for the scene! But I only do this to react on my
addiction, this addiction that keeps me driving every day.

When I get home,
first thing I do is check my emails,
to see if the scene thought of me today,
and there they are, messages, messages from the scene.
Messages to react on, messages to fulfil my urge.

My hunger for the scene will never be stopped,
no one can make me stop thinking about the scene,

the good old scene,
the place I belong to,
my master
my teacher,
my love.

Due to the scene my days are happy,
Due to the scene I get troubles at home
Due to the scene my spare time is completely lost,
Due to the scene I have a lot of friends.

Scene friends that is,
together with me they feel the same,
my brothers, my fellow mates, my partners in crime.
They have the urge too, the same urge I have,
the same addiction, the same troubles.

Together we are all the same,
Together we are the slaves of the scene.
