Interview (MediasRes) of: Gonzo/Flash Production

Handle:
Gonzo

How did you come up with your alias ?
As small baby-freaks, me and some friends came up with "The Muppet Show" aliases, so while they got names like "Fozzy the Bear", "Kermit" and "Animal" ... I got the "Gonzo" name (remember, the guy with the strange nose!).

City / Country:
Copenhagen, Denmark

Born year:
1972

What was your first computer, and when did you get it?
It was a C-64, and i got it back in 1986!

How did you get into the scene and what groups have you been a member of ?
Hmm, I just somehow became a member of the scene, because I could program the C-64, and since that I have been a member of these teams : The Silicon Brothers (1986), ByteStar (1987-1988), Flash Production (1988-1992)

What was the proudest moment in your career ?
I have won 2 smaller democompetitions, and that ofcourse made me proud, but it is nothing to brag about ...

For what specific reason(s) do you think that you are remembered ?
Ha ha, I will always be remembered for a protracker-module I made 5-6 years ago : "Lambada!" - I still recieve snail-mail from people, who say stuff like "I love your music!" ... Hmm, it seems like it was a hit!!!

What would you like to be remembered for ?
I don't think there is anything to be remembered for, than fun and friendship!

What made you stop the scene activity ? (and do you remember when?)
I stopped in the beginning of 1992, as a danish softwarehouse ripped me off, for a production we made ...

I work as head of a database development team, in a danish software house, developing business apps. primarily in Microsoft Visual FoxPro ...

What are you doing on your spare time?
I try doing lots of things, not having anything to do with computers, - but the Internet very often is the step I take, into a different relaxed world ...
