Sylvain Chipaux, 1971-09-07, France
Group, ex-group(s):
Lithium, Redox
What was your first group, your role in that group and what did that group produce?:
Musician and boozer. The group made a couple of intro on PC and a demo which competed at a French party.
What motivates you to spend time on the scene?:
Fanatism . Mostly anyway.
What is your favorite color?:
Blue
On what platform(s) did you begin your computing journey, and when was this?:
PC (Thomson TO16) in 1985 or so. Then an Atari STf around 1989, then some PC.
What platform(s) do you use now?:
Amiga and PC (but under FreeBSD most of the time)
What is/are your favorite piece(s) of music/s - from a demo production or a scener (released outside of a demo)?:
Onward by Jugi, I guess. Intro 4 by DSX Design was also always special to me .. crazy song . Another one would be arvids fredag by Uncle tom ... another crazy one which I love.
What is/are your favorite picture(s) - from a demo production or a scener (released outside of a demo)?:
too many ...
Which project that you worked on was the most exciting and interesting for you? And why?:
A musicdisk for Lithium that didn't come out. That's probably the fact it wasn't released that makes me feel like that now. We worked hard and had a lot of fun doing it
What is your favorite demo, intro, megademo, retrogame, slideshow, musicdisk, diskmag, wilddemo?:
Syntax Terror demo by Delta Force (Atari ST). Definitly high above the rest for me .
What percentage of modern demos are 3d flybys?:
no idea
What percentage of older demos are the same effects recycled?:
no idea again
What platform(s) needs more demos?:
Atari ST
Which parties do you intend to go to, and which parties would you like to go to? Please describe your personal experiences with your most favourite or impressive party you have ever been at.:
Buenzli is quite nice. Small and cozy. Went twice already and will probably pay it some visit in the future.
How did the scene alter since you are taking an active part in it? Can you explain why?:
The scene didn't care I went in or not, I guess. Maybe, WinUAE people are now happy with the mod ripper inside. That's about the only contribution worth the mention.
What are your dreams/goals in life, did scene help you and have you achieved them yet?:
Scene helped getting to know/meet people, most of which I lost contact throughout the years. Still, some are still here, like Doh, Yes, Crown or Curt Cool. Now, the goal in life is simple : being happy, so, working on the means to be, and then be.
Finally, do you have some special greetings? Feel free to add links to your graphics, screenshots of effects, modules or other pieces of your work.:
Just a quick note to my pal Xigh, who will probably never read this : where's my scrolltext ?.
