Tears For Fears

"The Seeds of Love" by Tears for Fears

Eigth Track LP
Total time: 49.29 mins.

It's a long time ago you heard the hits "Shout" or "Everybody Wants To Rules The World". And now, after four years, the Duo is back with a absolutly great album. Only the cover is worth the purchase. Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal have accompished a masterwork with the reinforcement of Oleta Adams' voice. Already at the first of eight songs (with Phil Collins on Drums) you can hear her great voice. The "Badman's Song", the second track (8.32 mins) includes many jazz and soul elements. I think it's one of the best on this LP.

The hit-single "Sowing Seeds Of Love" reminds you the most of the old hits by Tears for Fears. On second side the titels "Swords and Knives" and "Year of the Knife" dominate with great guitars and funny drums. "The Seeds Of Love" is a nice LP, with many lovely melodies (the right LP for "Dreamers"). This was also made possible by the nice bass of Pino Balladino and the atmosphere of Peter Gabriel's "Real World Studio". Great work!
