Pink Floyd, a rock legend. The group was founded in England in the late 60's. The first few ablums of Pink Floyd were as you might say pretty weird in musical taste. In the album Ummagumma, the music sounds like they were boiling
eggs and throwing up all over the place. As I first heard that album I couldn't believe my ears. I think the real talent of Pink Floyd started in 1973 when they released the album "Dark Side of the Moon". People believed that that was the zenith of Pink Floyd. But with the albums "Wish You were here" in 1975 and "Animals" in 1977 they held on to their good status. And then the legendary album came: "The Wall". A double album to the same named movie. To everyone who hasn't seen the movie "The Wall" and who likes Pink Floyd music I suggest you go and get it, turn up the volume and enjoy some great music.

For some years after the album "The Wall", it was very quiet around Pink Floyd. Again said to be dead, but only to return in 1985 with the album "A Momentary Lapse of Reason". But now without lead vocalist Roger Waters. David Gilmour took over the vocals. I think that songs like "Another Brick in the Wall" sounded better with Roger Waters singing it. But new songs like "Learning to Fly" only sound to tremendous with D. Gilmour. The main core of the group today consists of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright.

The "Momentary Lapse of Reason" concert was one of the best (if not the best I have ever been to). A stunning light show and a lot of good effect with lazers etc. It's very hard to describe the show, it's one of those things which you "Just have to see".

Rumours say that David Gilmour wants to change the group name (which I think would be fatal). I also heard rumours that Nick Mason would leave the group. But as you know these are rumours, and not to be taken serious.

LP-Review: "Hysteria"

Do You like good and hard (not heavy!) rock? Then go and buy the LP "Hysteria" by Def Leppard. I began to love this LP from the first song on. Superb guitars, fantastic drums and great vocals make this LP to one of the best Hard-Rock LP's ever made. The group is absolutly great. They stopped for 2 years, because their drummer (Rick Allen) lost one arm. But they didn't throw him out. They built him a new drum-machine, and now he is able to play with one arm and 2 feet. This LP came out 1988 and it is a bit old, but if you like Hard-Rock and you are searching for a good LP you should take a look at this one!
