Dresden Scene Meeting 2010, August, 14th, DE

[ Demoparty.net ] Dresden Scene Meeting 2010, August, 14th, DE
date: August, 14th, country: DE »I would like to invite you to a nice little scene meeting in Dresden, the city where I have been living for a year now. The idea is to have a tasty barbeque down at the river, where we can talk about demoscene and whatever stuff while having a cold Radeberger, then moving to the party quarter and discover some of Dresden's great nightlife. For those who are interested, I will even do a guided tour through the city. Seriously.Anyway, here are the details:When? Saturday, August 14th, 2010, starting at 4pm!Where? Dresden, Germany. In the BBQ-area near "Albertbrücke".What features?- Scenish conversations- stylish BBQ down at the river Elbe (enjoy the famous Canneloni-View)- a guided tour through Dresden's baroquest corners- getting banned from "Rosi's Amüsierlokal" for vomiting on the table soccer- Wer hat dicke Eierschecke? How to sign up?Just come by and bring your booze and meat. I'll be there anyway. I heard of some Norwegian musician wanting to come by. And Dodge will arrange a seminar on how to get Fibomoodci work on a real A500. I hope those lazy Leipzigers will also move there asses. However, it would be extraordinarily great if you dropped me a mail at -email- if you consider to come and if you like to have a guided tour as well. I might prepare some special booze for you.«
[Submitted by BitBot]

Demos don't harm

Background story: CHIP's reader (Polish Edition) found a virus in the Demoscene section of the cover DVD attached to issue 07/2010. It was a Norton alert - executable file of "The Golden Path" demo was described as a Trojan Horse (actually it was packed with kkrunchy). So I filled up a false-positive submission form at https://submit.symantec.com/dispute/false_positive/ and after 2 days I got an answer from Symantec (below).

Now, The Golden Path isn't a Trojan Horse anymore.

If you have some spare time and your anti-virus makes you angry every time you're launching an intro ( for example one of those: http://hardcode.untergrund.net/ ), don't hesitate to write to your protection provider.

"We are writing in relation to your submission through Symantec's on-line Security Risk / False Positive Dispute Submission form for your The golden path by United Force (demo) being detected by Symantec Software. In light of further investigation and analysis Symantec is happy to remove this detection from within its products.
