ZX Spectrum Orchestra Album

[ raww.org ] ZX Spectrum Orchestra Album
ZX Spectrum Orchestra have released an album, "Basic Programming" and CD-Single with accompanying DVD of the track "Dollar Power". The single may well be worth getting as the DVD features footage of "vintage spectrums in action, with loving shots of the hardware rubbing up against reams of code as the music thuds away wantonly in the background.".

mdS released "Selected Works2"

mdS released Trippers free Netalbum "Selected Works2"

"What is contained in darkness holds the greatest potential for light"

This compilation is slightly darker than the previous one.
We have a dualistic view of our world, we tend to categorize
things as positive vs. negative, light vs. darkness, evil vs.
good, me vs. everyone else. Our thinking processes happen in
left (logical) and right (intuitive) sides of our brains.

Left brain thinking dominates our world today. We are not our
minds and as quantum-science proves: we are at the most
fundamental level ONE consciousness that is NOT connected
to the body. Most of our DNA is behaving like an antenna that
receives and transmits energy (possible "quantum internet"?).
The cutting edge science is actually finding our roots again
by connecting true spiritual/ancient knowledge with todays
technological mindset and knowledge. (tripper)

RockBEAT 2.1 released

[ AmigaWorld ] RockBEAT 2.1 released
RockBEAT 2.1 is now available for AmigaOS4 users. The community has been so good to me over the years, that I've decided to make RockBEAT FREEWARE effective immediately!

What is it?? RockBEAT is a simple software drum machine for AmigaOS4. It is a tool for musicians that allows you to create drumming tracks. It can create multiple tracks, each one being 4x 4/4 measures with 16th notes. You can save individual tracks as wav files, or the whole thing as one big song. You can drop in your own 16bit stereo 44100Hz PCM WAV samples in the drumsamples/ folder if you like.

HivelyTracker 1.3 is released!

Many bugs in the replayer have been fixed, and the editor has been improved further.

Download it from http://www.hivelytracker.com

Hively Tracker is a tracker program based upon the AHX format created in the mid '90s by Dexter and Pink of Abyss. The format was relatively popular, and many songs were created and used in scene productions and games. AHX was designed to create a very SID-like sound on the Amiga.

HivelyTracker can import and export modules and instruments in the AHX format, but it also improves on AHX in several ways and therefore has its own instrument and module formats.

HivelyTracker offers the following features over AHX:

* Multichannel (4 to 16 channels)
* Per-channel stereo panning
* Two commands per note instead of one
* Ring modulation
* A more feature rich editor

HivelyTracker was coded by Xeron/IRIS GUI design and skins by Spot/Up Rough

Iwata Asks

[ Acorn Arcade ] Iwata Asks
Apologies to those of you who have seen it before, but I have to mention Iwata Asks - a series of interviews conducted by Satoru Iwata, the President of Nintendo, with the various Wii development teams. And it's not just the usual corporate bullshit - it's incredibly in-depth, and mentions a lot of the difficulties encountered along the way. Well worth a read.

UnrealSpeccy 0.36 Released

[ raww.org ]
UnrealSpeccy 0.36 Released

Tho' it's yet to appear on the Sourceforge project page, it turns out there's a new version of Open Source emulator UnrealSpeccy available from Alone Coder's webpage. The source link gives a 404 at the moment, but the main program is grabbable. According to Emu-Russia the changes include a fix to TurboSound emulation (currently the only emulator that supports this dual-AY/YM mode). There are a few other changes which you may benefit from, so I'd upgrade now. Just to be safe, you unnerstan'.
