Competition Time
To celebrate the release of HivelyTracker 1.2 for OS4 and OS3.x, IRIS and Up Rough have teamed up with GGS-Data to bring you the HivelyTracker music competition.
We are inviting everyone to make a song in HivelyTracker, and enter it into a competition to win a C64-DTV. Members of IRIS and Up Rough will judge the winning entry to receive the prize, which has been kindly donated by GGS-Data.
Then, all the entries will be released in a music disk after the competition has finished. The full rules are available on the the competition page.

Coder(s):
Intel Assembly-language primarily; must be able to code own original
sound routines, own video routines (standard and non-standard modes &
effects), integrate with other PC's & external hardware (ie DMX
lighting & mechatronics/electronics controllers), must be passionate
for pushing boundaries, ultra-optimizing code, pioneering unchartered
territory, and must be able to communicate & work well in a team. Will
be using older PC's such as 486's, Pentiums.
GFX Artist(s):
ANSi, Lo-Res, Hi-Res; must be able to draw in a consistant style, and
push graphics boundaries. Must be able to design around said
soundtrack as stated above. Must be able to communicate & work well in
a team. Must be willing to draw in non-standard frame/screen mode
sizes if necessary.
Mechatronics/Electronics Artist(s):
Must be able to design to said soundtrack above. Must be able to
communicate & work well in a team. Must be able to design around a
set, ie pieces of a designed set in which the show is performed
around. Must be willing to do something out of the ordinary.
Set Designer:
Must be able to design a set based on the stated soundtrack above.
Must be able to communicate & work well in a team. Must be willing to
do something out of the ordinary. Will be working closely with
Mechatronics/Electronics Artist & Lighting Designer.

hehe I posted this the first time as a comment and not as a blog entry.. ops
The work is coming along great, I've put alot of time into the design of the VM instruction set and its innerworkings, I think likely 70% thinking and writing in a huge journal and 30% actually coding it (probably even less than that). I'm actually becoming quite proud of the accomplishment
Remember AltiVec? well lets just say my VM was abit inspired of thinking in a non scalar way
