The demo scene has produced several game developers who have made their hobby a profession. One of the developers of the winning game at the Mekka & Symposium 97 (Wak-A-Bill) and co-founder of Wildmag founded his own game studio, named "
Black Chronos", in November 2006. Now, the company's first indie game, a 2D platformer called "
Glow", has been released. Most of the members of the team were already involved in the development of the freeware real-time strategy game "
Sorades - Die Befreiung", which - although only available in German - might be well known to some.
For those who might be interested in "
Glow", there is a
demo version consisting of 5 levels in both English and German language (including spoken texts in the intro and during the game). The
download weighs about 100 megabytes.
