The ROTY 2019 show, with Steph and Kevman of SceneSat, was broadcasted on Saturday, 14th March 2020, 20:00 CET, featuring Ziphoid, with the rundown of the year's monthly musical highlights.
This year's voting count saw an overhaul, taking into account various factors that contribute to the overall score. Half an hour in, the winner of the first category was announced, Best Newcomer 2019 was awarded to Lea with a massive lead.
The second award, "Best Veteran" went to Glyn R Brown, very closely followed up by Jogeir Liljedahl.
The special Lifetime Achievement Award was handed to Dr Future, for the massive and constant amount of work he put into the scene since its beginning. Amongst other things, he released nearly 100 tracks, he is the most dutiful jury member of RKO and AR, and he even organized BIT Live Germany in 2003.
Best c64 remix was won by veteran c64 musician Peter Clarke for his Elf's story, a remix of Defender of the crown.
He also scored #2 with the same track for Best Amiga Remix, but that category was won by Firefox with his very faithful remake of Cream of the Earth by a small margin.
Finally, Peter Clarke also managed to score the big prize, and was appointed Remixer Of The Year 2020.
Congratulations to everyone!!
